NTA
What goes, what stays, and how long it takes.
NTA is a private community platform run by Skella & Co Pty Ltd in Australia. This page covers the NTA apps for Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux, and the website at nta.gg. It applies to every NTA account, however you signed in.
You do not have to leave to remove things. Signed in, in any NTA app or in the browser, you can delete any thread, reply or direct message you wrote, clear any profile field, and remove your avatar. Deleted content goes out of sight straight away and is held for twenty four hours before it goes for good, so an accident can be undone inside that window. After that it is gone, along with anything attached to it.
To remove a post, open its menu, the three dots on the post itself, and choose delete. To clear a profile field, open your profile and edit it. Neither touches your account.
The same four steps work in the browser at nta.gg, so you can delete your account without installing anything.
Write to nta@skella.com.au from the email address on the account and say you want it deleted. A person reads it and does the same thing by hand. Say whether you want your posts taken down as well, or it is treated as leaving them in place.
Nothing happens for twenty four hours. Sign back in inside that day and the Stay button puts everything back exactly as it was. The reason for the wait is not friction. It is so an accident can be undone, and so a session somebody else got hold of cannot erase years of your writing before you notice.
Once the day is up, an hourly job carries it out. There is no undoing it after that, and no copy is kept.

Two things stay, for reasons that are worth being plain about.
Your threads and replies stay where the room can read them, unless you ask for them to come down. A forty reply argument is other people's writing as much as yours, and taking the whole conversation away because one person left would be deleting theirs. Your name comes off it either way. Everything you wrote is reattributed to a single shared marker, Someone who left, and there is one of those for everybody who has ever left rather than one each, so nobody can work out which departed member wrote which post.
Direct messages other people sent you stay theirs. Your half of the conversation is erased and the other person keeps the half they wrote, in the same way a letter you posted is yours and the reply is theirs.
The moderation log keeps its entries, because a record of what was done in the room is not one member's to delete. Your name and your account come off those entries at the same time as everything else.
Deleting your account and asking for a copy of your data are separate things, and you should not have to choose. The same settings screen has a Download my data button that hands back one JSON file with your profile, your email address, every thread and reply you have written, every reaction, and anything you have reported. The file is built for you on the spot and goes nowhere else.
